St. Joseph&amp;rsquo;s House  is attached to Mary Mackillop College in Bathurst.  They offer a wonderful service for all NSW and this is one of their fund raising efforts for the year.&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 16px;"&gt;
&lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 16px;"&gt;&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
The exhibition is open to all types of art work.  Obviously well known and well sought after artists will be of great benefit. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;span style="font-size: 16px;"&gt;

Battle of the Choirs is an exciting event that will celebrate choral singing, with an emphasis on fun and entertainment, while also acknowledging skill. In association with the Western Plains Cultural Centre (WPCC), the theme for the 2012 competition again borrows from Western College&amp;rsquo;s core principles. Last year, entrants were asked to submit their artistic interpretations of &amp;ldquo;integrity&amp;rdquo; &amp;ndash; this year they need to find their &amp;ldquo;passion&amp;rdquo;!&lt;br /&gt;
The competition offers an acquisitive first prize of $2200, a prize of $500 awarded to an entrant undertaking full or part time study and a $500 prize for an entry from an indigenous artist.&lt;br /&gt;
The competition is open to all residents of Dubbo, Midwestern, Narromine, Gilgandra and Wellington LGA's.  &lt;br /&gt;

The music will include new songs and arrangements, and the odd familiar tune, all based on the rich history and culture of Dubbo and surrounds. Musical Director Christina Mimmocchi (Sing Cockatoo) will be assisted by a team of experienced musicians including choir director Rowen Fox.&lt;br /&gt;

If you&amp;rsquo;re coming from out of Dubbo, or if you&amp;rsquo;re a local and want to immerse yourself in the weekend, come and stay at the Big 4 Dubbo Parklands where the weekend will be based.
