I draw from feeling a way to express my life past and present. I call my style marks on paper and aim to bring together lines and dashes in a way that creates a whole picture. Each individual mark is small and insignificant, but together they make a whole image that portrays an aspect of my life. I grew up on a farm and learnt to take notice of the land, its patterns and rhythms. I use patterns found in nature to make the marks which dominate my artworks. See my first solo exhibition at the Cooee Heritage Centre in Gilgandra during October and November 2011.
