Cudgegong Gallery Between Seasons Showing
February marks the start of one of Cudgegong Gallery’s much-loved Between Seasons Showings when the space is filled with an intriguing mix of works from many of the Gallery’s favourite artists.
The downstairs Gallery will be devoted to ceramics from well-known artists including Greg Daly, Won Seok Kim, Geoff Thomas, Susie McMeekin, Michel Boulay and Tania Rollond, just to name a handful.
You’ll see a full spectrum of artistic styles from the white bottles and vases of Tania Rollond, decorated with drawings to the rich fiery glazes that Greg Daly is famous for.
Wander upstairs and you’ll find a space dedicated to paintings from artists such as Chris Adams, Michael Bourke, Ernabella Arts, Teri Hiley, Julia Griffin and Victor Greenway.
If you missed an exhibition it’s a great opportunity to see some of the highlight pieces – for example, perhaps you didn’t get to experience Julia Griffins works, which take you through a series of realistic landscapes and roadscapes from Walcha, where Julia’s studio is based, to Gulgong, where she completed an Artist in Residence placement.
Or perhaps you didn’t get a chance to see Blue Mountains resident Teri Hiley and her paintings that feature aspects of Gulgong including images derived from a street parade for the Henry Lawson Festival.
The Between Seasons Showing runs from Friday February 3 until Monday March 5. For more information contact Cudgegong Gallery on 02 6374 1630 or visit www.cudgegonggallery.com.au.
