In 1966 the Mudgee Historical Society purchased the 19th century building for use as its headquarters and established a museum on site to showcase its splendid collection of Australiana. The Colonial Inn Museum is a folk museum with all articles being donated from the local area, including domestic items, agricultural implements and much more. They do research on family and general history when requested and it is run by volunteers. Entry is adults $5, concession $4, children $2.
