Maggie May Gordon

Maggie May Gordon is the original author and lyricist of the Australian musical in the Broadway tradition: �Eureka!� the full production of which was staged at Her Majesty�s Theatre Melbourne as part of the Melbourne Festival of 2004. The musical was nominated in the Robert Helpmann Awards for Best Musical. Maggie's second musical "Swag" was launched in 2008 via the Cowra Musical & Dramatic Society and received fantastic reviews! Maggie has now combined her poetry (which she has recited under the title of The Cocky�s Wife on western region radio) with the art of regional artist Faye Gardiner to produce �Country Rhymes�for those who love the land� (www.countryrhymes.com). Maggie has now completeed her third Australian musical titled "Gold!" and is set in the Australian goldfields at Wattle Flat near Bathurst. Keep an eye out for perfomances soon! Maggie is available as a guest speaker and for poetry recitals.
