The Western Institute of TAFE, Dubbo College offers Visual Art and Contemporary Crafts and Aboriginal Art vocational courses that combine studio-based visual explorations and theoretical studies. Full-time, part-time and flexible attendance is available from Certificate II to Advanced Diploma level. Short courses are delivered subject to demand. The Arts and Media Department has well-equipped printmaking, painting, drawing, sculpture, new media and ceramics studios, and theory resources. At the end of the academic year the studio space converts into a spacious contemporary art exhibition space for an annual student exhibition. We welcome visitors to our art facility. Please telephone and make an appointment if you wish to visit. We have a small exhibition space available throughout the year. Student exhibitions are considered for this space as part of professional practice course work. Proposals for the use of the space by local artists are also considered on the basis of artistic merit and innovation. Contact us for information on how to apply.
